Alan Graham has vision for 'exceptional progress' on homelessness in Austin

Alan Graham knows his nonprofit, Mobile Loaves & Fishes, can’t singlehandedly solve homelessness. But the organization’s Community First Village — which opened in 2015 and has about 460 houses for the formerly homeless at a 51-acre campus in Northeast Austin — is one of the best local examples of a proactive approach to creating safe accommodations for the unhoused. For the ATX Next podcast, Graham opened up about the ramifications of Austin’s camping ban, the organization’s $20 per hour minimum wage, what it takes to executive a successful nine-figure capital campaign and much more.
