Voters in two additional Austin-area communities have reaffirmed their cities’ participation in the region’s transit authority. But suburban leaders and Capital Metro acknowledged additional steps are needed to ensure the long-term viability of the regional transit plan for the metro’s outskirts, a process that could include a push for more transit-oriented development.
